  1. I believe Reilly Smith’s deadline cap hit will be around $1.1M ($5M/82 games * 18 games remaining by March 21). But let’s assume Eichel returns earlier since he’s already in contact. Let’s say March 1. The adjusted cap hit would be around $5M/82 games * 29 games remaining = $1.77M (currently it’s $2M as of today). If he progresses it’ll likely be even higher since he’ll be returning earlier.

I don’t think they can take any money back and will try to make it a pure cap dump like Fleury.

Carolina only has $1.05M for today and the deadline, along with a full roster (23/23). Idk if they can or will make it happen.

Rangers have plenty of space and assets so he can be added.

Boston it would be tight. They have $2.35M for today and $4.8M for the deadline, but again he’ll be moved almost a month prior. They also have $1.775M on IR, and Rask at $1M has an NMC taking up a roster spot (unless put on LTIR).

I think some under-the-radar teams to pick him up could be LA, Anaheim, Nashville, maybe Minnesota. Simply because he’d be an easy player for them to add financially and roster wise to bolster their playoff push at a relatively low cost (since it’s a cap dump). Granted these are Western teams Vegas might be competing against, but their ability to facilitate a trade quickly gives them leverage.

    End rant. 😂

  2. Oh dear… why is STL on the Petry, Braun, Miller and (oh good heavens) Dermott lists? Parayko and Faulk literally eat up 47 RD minutes every night and they just re-upped Bortuzzo. There’s also no cap or use for Miller, and even less of both for Leddy.

I could go on, but this whole page is an abject mess.
